Terror list: Mayawati faces life threat, cries for security

Lucknow, May 2: Former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Mayawati wrote a letter to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh seeking more security for herself.

The BSP supremo claimed that her life is under threat as she is on a "terror-hit-list"; thus the central government should beef up the security arrangement for her.

Mayawati, in her letter to the PM, demanded security from Special Protection Group (SPG). Mayawati's recent move has been taken soon after the decision of Akhilesh Yadav.

Akhilesh has become the Chief Minister of the state following the assembly election recently held in Uttar Pradesh. After overtaking the throne from Mayawati, Akhilesh ordered to withdraw extra security cover arranged for the BSP chief.

400 security personnel were removed from service of protecting Mayawati following Akhilesh's order of downgrading security arrangement for his predecessor.
