Aarushi murder: Nupur Talwar cornered, asked to surrender

Nupur and Rajesh Talwar
New Delhi, Apr 27: In a major blow on the face of the Talwars, the Supreme Court on Friday, Apr 27 asked Nupur Talwar to surrender before the Ghaziabad session court.

The apex court, while delivering its verdict on 14-year-old Aarushi murder case, claimed that one of the main accused and Aarushi's mother Dr Nupur Talwar should surrender herself before the session court, but the apex court also said that Mrs Talwar's application for bail would be considered whenever she will apply for it.

Earlier, the Ghaziabad court issued a non-bailable arrest warrant against Nupur when she failed to appear before it during the hearing of her daughter Aarushi's murder case.

Nupur had gone missing and finally after 48-hours, she had appeared before the Supreme Court seeking dismissal of the arrest warrant issued against her.

14-year-old Aarushi was brutally killed inside her Noida residence on May, 2008. Initially the needle of suspicion was pointed towards Hemraj, Talwar's servant. But soon Aarushi's parents came under the scanner when Hemraj's body was found on the terrace of the Talwar's residence on the next day.
