New Delhi, Apr 26: It's a good time for the two old friends in Bollywood - Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha. The duo received good news almost at a same time. When Amitabh Bachchan got a clean chit in Bofors scam, Rekha's name has been recommended for Rajya Sabha seat.

The central government recommended Rekha's name and if Rekha is nominated then she will share a seat with Amitabh's wife Jaya Bhaduri in the Parliament.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Wednesday, Apr 25 sent a communication to the Ministry of Home Affairs and also to President Pratibha Patil for notification. Rekha's name along with cricketer Sachin Tendulkar and businesswoman Anu Aga have been included in the list.

However, reports on Thursday informed that Sachin has already accepted Congress' proposal over the nomination for Rajya Sabha and if the sources are to be believed, the master-blaster is now all set to join politics.
