Summer special train from Chandigarh to Mumbai from May 2

Chandigarh, Apr 24: Northern Railways will run a summer special train from Chandigarh to Bandra in Mumbai from next month to clear the rush of passengers on the route.

A railway spokesman said here today that the special train will run from Chandigarh to Bandra on every Wednesday and from Bandra it will run every Thursday.

The train will run from May 2 to June 28, he said adding that the timings, composition and stoppages will be the same as in case of the weekly Chandigarh Bandra Super Fast Express which runs from Chandigarh on Sunday and returns on Monday.

Ambala-based railway sources said that, after June, the summer special train is expected to be made a regular train as the Railway Minister in his budget speech this year had already announced to increase the frequency of the weekly Chandigarh Bandra Super fast express from weekly to bi-weekly.
