Bollywood actor's dad killed, Mumbai stock broker arrested

Mumbai, Apr 23: Stock broker Gautam Vora has been arrested in connection with the murder case of Arun Tikku - the father of a small-time Bollywood actor, Anuj Tikku.

Mumbai crime branch on Monday, Apr 23 arrested the stock broker Mr Vora for helping the main accused in the murder case - Vijay Palande. According to sources, Mr Vora allegedly helped the accused when he (Palande) had fled from police custody.

Police sources informed that Mr Vora had picked Palande and took him to a hotel where Palande changed his attires and then dropped him (Palande) to a safe place. However, the accused could not escape for a long time as the Mumbai cops later arrested Palande again.

Mr Vora earlier was questioned and arrested in the suicide case of famous model Viveka Babajee. Mr Vora and Viveka were in a relationship and the model committed suicide in 2010.

The deceased 61-year-old Arun Tikku was a Ghaziabad-based businessman. He came to Mumbai to settle a personal issue involving his son Anuj who is the CEO of a firm that deals with events, TV commercials and content for radio. Mr Arun Tikku was found dead in his son's flat in Mumbai. Police later arrested the actor Anuj and two others including Palande.
