Milk suppliers demand Rs 30/litre from companies

The suppliers want Rs 30 per litre from the companies.
"We are agitating against companies which buy milk from us at Rs 18 to Rs 20 and sell adulterated milk in the market at Rs 38 to Rs 40. These companies are converting pure milk into white poison for their benefit," said Prakash, a member of the committee.
A BJP leader has also joined the agitation to support the milk vendors, "People in remote areas are earning their living by selling milk. But this profit tricker down to the house from where these companies get the milk.
Our community needs to be assured that they will be compensated for the loss. If the government does not respond after this protest, we will sit on a hunger strike across cities," Prakash added.
