Good time for ex-Google CEO, salary increased by $250,000

San Francisco, Apr 21: Former Google Inc's chief Executive Eric Schmidt received an annual salary hike from $1 to $1.25 million.

According to the US Securities and Exchange Commission, his total compensation was increased to $101 million last year.

In 2011, he was ranked as the most highly compensated Google executive, as he received the compensation including the base salary, a bonus and other benefits for four times the compensation of Google's next highest-paid executive.

It has been reported that the current Google CEO Larry Page and co-founder Sergey Brin received an annual salary of $1 in 2011. They are receiving the same salary since 2004.
