Indian Army Chief offered bribe: CBI questions Gen Singh

VK Singh
New Delhi, Apr 20: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday, Apr 20 reached Indian Army Chief, VK Singh's office to record his statements over bribe offered case.

The Army Chief earlier had accused a retired officer, Former Lt Gen Tejinder Singh saying that he (Tejinder Singh) had tried to bribe him in 2010.

The investigating team earlier on Friday sent a questionnaire to Gen Singh and sources informed that the process of recording statement would continue for the whole day.

According to sources, VK Singh may face a tough time with the senior CBI officials who may grill him (General Singh) over his decision not to disclose the bribe issue in 2010. However, the CBI officials informed that they will file the FIR soon if they get enough evidence against Tejinder Singh.
