Mumbai: Student beaten to death with hockey sticks

Mumbai, Apr 19: Eight teenagers have been arrested for allegedly beating a 17-year-old student to death, said police.

According to the police, the victim, Ansh Agarwal was beaten up by at least 30 students because he objected to an SMS that the main accused sent to his girlfriend. He was beaten with hockey sticks and his head was smashed with a stone on Tuesday night, said reports.

The profusely bleeding victim was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries, said police.

The arrested students will be presented in a local court on Thursday.
