Mumbai Mishap: 2 killed after falling off overcrowded train

Mumbai, Apr 19: Two people lost their lives, while 15 other were injured after they fell off from an overcrowded local train in Mumbai, Maharashtra, said Railway PRO.

"The accident was due to overcrowding in the train," said Central Railways PRO.

The local train services in Mumbai have been hit for the second consecutive day after a fire in a electric signal disrupted services on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the Central Railway has announced that 85 per cent of rail services have been restored on Thursday.

The signals from CST to Kalyan have been restored fully and hence no delays are expected there, said officials.

The signals from Kalyan to CST still to be restored fully.

Reports reveal that trains shall be delayed by 25-35 minutes. Most trains have been on time in the morning.
