Wealth case: Jaya, Sasikala stick together in their fight

Bangalore, Apr 19: Tamil Nadu CM Jayalalithaa and her close aide Sasikala's counsels on Wednesday, Apr 18 have filed the perusal of documents referring to the wealth case in a special court, Bangalore.

The senior counsels B Kumar and C Manishankhar have filed the applications under section 207(5) of the CrPC. Assistant special public prosecutor Sandesh Chouta said that he would file his objections to the applications by Thursday, Apr 19.

Judge BM Mallikarjunaiah said he would first like to hear the objections before taking up Sasikala's statement.

Sasikala filed a criminal petition challenging the special court order of rejection of her application asking various documents referring to the case. Meanwhile, the Karnataka High Court dismissed the criminal petition.
