BJP snubbing BSY? Asks him to cancel Delhi visit
BJP leaders are awaiting for the final result of the cases slapped against Yeddyurappa. The cases are still pending before the Forest Bench of the Supreme Court. While the Central Empowered Committee (CEC) report will be submitted in the court to finally look into his demand.
On Monday, Apr 16, BJP leaders asked Yeddyurappa to cancel his trip as Chief Minister DV Sadananda Gowda and party State President KS Eshwarappa left for Delhi to meet the party bosses. Yeddyurappa wanted to join them but failed when the party bosses asked him to visit Delhi on Tuesday or Wednesday, party sources claimed.
DV Sadananda Gowda told the reporters in Delhi that he wanted an early clearance by the party high command on expanding the ministry. The party sources had made it clear that the ministerial expansion could take place only when the state party got a clear picture on Yeddyurappa's demand.
Meanwhile, the CEC is likely to submit its report to supreme court on whether CBI is needed to investigate the cases slapped against Yeddyurappa, so that a decision would be taken on Yeddyurappa's demand.
