Adarsh land belongs to Maha govt: Judicial Commission report

New Delhi, Apr 18: In a major breakthrough in Adarsh housing society scam, the Maharashtra government-appointed judicial commission has declared that the land belongs to the state government and was not reserved for Kargil war martyrs' kins, as claimed by Army officials.

On Tuesday, Apr 18 the two-member commission submitted their interim report to the state government after investigating for the last 15 months.

Meanwhile, Former Maharashtra CM Vilasrao Deshmukh, Sushil Kumar Shinde and Ashok Chavan have been charged for plotting to grab the land and building a high-rise residential tower on that land.

The commission was investigating about the ownership of the land and whether the land was reserved for any purpose.

Meanwhile, CBI sources said that they have evidences to prove that the Adarsh land belonged to Army and it was misused by the civilians.
