Swamy to take 2G war with Chidambaram to Supreme Court

Subramanian Swamy-P Chidambaram
New Delhi, Apr 11: The 2G spectrum case is back to haunt Union Home Minister P Chidambaram when the Supreme Court will hear the petition filed against him by Janata Party President Subramanian Swamy. Swamy cited that Chidambaram was as much a part of the scam and that a CBI probe should be initiated against him and he be made an accused in the case.

A Delhi court had cleared Chidambaram’s name in the multi-crore 2G spectrum allocation scam and stated that he will not be investigated or be made co-accused in the case.

The Supreme Court had earlier cancelled 122 2G spectrum licences that was allotted by former and 2G tainted telecom minister A Raja during his tenure in 2008. The matter had brought much shame to the UPA government.
