Swami Sanand goes on fast-unto-death again for Ganga

On Apr 5, Sanand had again threatened to sit on fast-unto-death if the outcome of the scheduled meet of National Ganga River Basin Authority on Apr 17 is not satisfactory. He had also alleged the he had not received an invitation for the Apr 17 meeting, and had threatened an early fast if he was not invited to the meet.
Sanand had called off his 15-day long fast on Mar 23 at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in the presence of Union minister Sriprakash Jaiswal after he received a written agreement from the Central government. The Centre, in the agreement, had promised that it will look into measures for Ganga conservation, and will ensure its unimpeded flow and cleanliness.
