Noida: CBI to arrest Aarushi Talwar's mother Nupur

Ghaziabad, Apr 11: The investigative agency - Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) reached Dr Rajesh Talwar's residence in Noida, Uttar Pradesh to arrest his wife - Nupur Talwar over the murder case of their daughter Aarushi Talwar.

The Ghaziabad court on Wednesday, Apr 11 issued a non-bailable arrest against Nupur who failed to appear in the court on the scheduled date and time.

According to sources, CBI officials reached the Talwars' home but Nupur Talwar was not present in their residence. 14-year-old Aarushi was murdered in 2008.

Initially the needle of suspicion was pointed towards Hemraj, Talwar's servant. But soon Aarushi's parents came under the scanner when Hemraj's body was found on the terrace of the Talwar's residence on the next day.

Earlier in 2011, the Talwars had received a breather from the Supreme Court when it stayed the criminal proceedings against them. They were pronounced guilty by the Allahabad High Court.

Later the CBI, in its closure report, had accused her parents as the sole "killers". The CBI court also pronounced its verdict which pointed fingers towards the Talwars.
