Land disposal policy was followed in allotments: Deshmukh

Pune, Apr 7: While defending himself in land row, Former Maharashtra CM Vilasrao Deshmukh on Saturday, Apr 7, said “all land allotment was as per the land disposal policy.”

Deshmukh broke his silence after the Supreme Court stand for Bombay high court's order to cancel the allotment of 20 acres of land approved by Deshmukh.

Deshmukh reportedly accused the Maharashtra top leaders, claimed that several leaders have allotted land to various Trusts at cheap rates.

Reacting over the opponents' demand to boot him out from the cabinet ministry “That (such demands) is the role of the opposition and they are doing what they are supposed to do,” he added.
