Akhilesh's government bans sale of junk food in schools

A senior government official informed IANS that the Secondary Education Council got instructions from the Union Health and Family Planning Ministry after that it decided to ban junk food in schools.
According to government's instructions, the Secretary of the UP Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (Board of High School and Intermediate Education) has asked to ban sale of all forms of junk foods from the school campuses as it causes health diseases at the later stage of our life.
Meanwhile, banning of junk foods have encouraged the school authority to opt for healthy and nutritious food for students.
