Goondaraj back in Akhilesh's UP, cops thrash disabled man

Earlier, on Apr 4, cops had thrashed a trader in Uttar Pradesh at the police station.
According to the victim, Shashi Raheja, he was picked up by the cops on Mar 25, when he was returning back from a late night party.
"I was taken to Hari Parbat police station where the cops thrashed me severely. They hit me with their boots and sticks when I asked them what wrong had I committed," he said.
The trader also claimed that he was made to lick their shoes while pleading for mercy.
"I was allowed to go only after I paid them a bribe of Rs 25,000," he said.
He further said that he was also threatened to be killed in a fake encounter if he approached any senior official in the case.
He, however, mustered courage and filed a complaint.
"An inquiry will be conducted into the matter and stern action will be taken against the cops if found guilty," said an official.
