Pakistan Prez Zardari likely to visit Ajmer on Apr 8

Asif Ali Zardari
New Delhi, Apr 1: Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari is expected to visit Ajmer on Apr 8, for religious purposes.

He wants to pay homage at the shrine of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti and the Congress-led UPA government is likely to discuss some political issues during his day-long visit.

"While as of now, the visit is purely for religious purposes, efforts are being made so that some political discussions could also take place during the day-long trip of Zardari," as claimed by sources.

In 2009, Zardari had met with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on the sidelines of the SCO summit in Russia. Meanwhile, many political decisions of the two nations would be taken during the President's visit, sources said.
