Thailand: Bomb attacks kill 14

An explosive bomb was planted inside a parked truck, exploded through an area of restaurants and shops in the bustling part of Yala city, reported by Col Kritsada Kaewchandee, district police chief. Within 20 minutes another bomb exploded, killed several.
Many cars and motorcycles were damaged, while, several shops, houses were set on fire in the powerful explosions.
Colonel Pramote Promin spokesman for the southern army region has been quoted as saying,"There were three bombs that exploded, the first is a car bomb and the second and third bombs were hidden in motorcycles." Meanwhile, a policeman was injured in the motorcycle bomb attack in Mae Lan district. "This is the worst attack in the past few years," he added.
