Relief for Bangaloreans, woman serial killer to be hanged
45-year-old Mallika, who is well-known as Cyanide Mallika, got death sentence on Friday, Mar 30. This was the second time when the serial killer received death sentence.
Kalasipalyam police arrested and filed charge-sheet against Mallika following an investigation of a murder case of 35-year-old Nagaveni, a resident of Allalasandra in Yelahanka.
Police informed that Mallika, who deserted her family members long time back, used to roam around some temples in search of women victims.
The serial killer convinced Nagaveni to go with her (Mallika) to Ghati Subramanya Temple in Doddaballapur to perform Mandala Puja.
Nagaveni, who was depressed over not having any child, fell into Mallika's trap and went to the temple. But destiny kept something else for Nagaveni. Mallika mixed cyanide with water and gave the drink to her latest victim who died soon after drinking the poisoned water.
