3 years after 26/11 attack, Briton sues Taj Hotel

Mumbai, Mar 31: Will Pike, a British national has sued Mumbai Taj Hotel for the 26/11 terror attack that left him crippled for life after falling 50 feet from his bedroom window.

Mr Pike, who is confined to a wheelchair now suing owners of Taj Hotel, the Indian Hotels Company controlled by Tata Sons for failing to provide guests with adequate security.

The British guest was at the Taj with his girlfriend Kelly Doyle when terrorists struck the sea-facing hotel.

Meanwhile, the proceeding have been started in the high court of London and a notice was served last week on the London base of the Indian Hotel Company Limited (IHCL), which owns the Taj Hotel.

Moreover, Mr Pike has said that with foreknowledge of the attack, the hotel staff could have done much more to protect guests. The registered case by Pike also includes a very substantial sum, which is necessary to ensure that Pike is properly looked after for the rest of his life, including a specially adapted residence and special therapies.
