Rajya Sabha Polls: IT dept seizes Rs 2 cr in J'khand

Jhansi, Mar 30: Nearly Rs 2 crores have been seized by the Income Tax department from two people in Namkum near Ranchi.

The men have been detained, who were carrying the cash in a car. They were going to Jamshedpur from Ranchi.

Sources divulged that the cash belongs to a Rajya Sabha candidate's family and the Rajya Sabha polls will be held in Jharkhand today. On Thursday, Mar 29, the Election Commission sent a letter to Income Tax and the Police Department to trace where the money was taken by the criminals.
