UP: Akhilesh turns Messiah of poor, promises free treatment

Lucknow, Mar 28: Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Akhilesh Yadav promised to dole out free medical treatment of serious ailments to poor.

The chief minister, who flagged off an awareness rally on the World Kidney Day in Lucknow said that the state government would provide free treatment of seious ailments to the poor and also arrange infrastructure for the same.

He also said that as poor cannot afford treatment, they are the most affected in case of serious ailments.

Talking about the works done by SP-led government earlier, he said that the then government worked for the welfare of the poor by providing them free and better treatment, which was discontinued by the BSP during their regime.

Yadav also stressed on creating awarness related to kidney ailments.
