Congress failed to honour yuti-dharma, says Sharad Pawar

Sharad Pawar
Mumbai, Mar 25: Refuting the allegations, Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar on Saturday, Mar 24, said that Congress was not ditched by Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) in the Maharashtra Zilla Parishad elections for the posts of chairman and vice-chairman, it was Congress that did not follow the coalition 'dharma' in the elections.

Accusing NCP, Manikrao Thakre, Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) president claimed that the party had cheated Congress by joining hands with other parties like Shiv Sena, BJP, in the ZP polls.

While addressing a party meeting of newly elected NCP corporators, Pawar refused to escalate the controversy but the party could not keep quiet on the
false allegations, he added.

"In Pune and Kolhapur, Congress failed to honour yuti-dharma. Discipline should not apply only to the NCP," Pawar said in the meeting.
