Bihar: Nitish Kumar's toilet woes; police asked to explain

Bihar, Mar 24: A showcause notices were issued, on Friday, Mar 23 by the Bihar Police to the Patna Inspector General and Senior Superintendent of Police for not making the arrangement of toilets for Bihar CM Nitish Kumar at the main function site of Bihar Diwas celebrations on Thursday.

Nitish had to leave the function midway as he went to use one of the toilets at a nearby hotel. Though there were temporary toilets, the Bihar CM had to pass the public to reach one of them.

A top official confirmed that the showcause notices were issued to IG Bhrigu Srinivasan and SSP Alok Kumar for “serious lapses”.

“These officials had to keep in mind the long duration the Chief Minister had to stay there and should have arranged for toilets near the main venue,” said the official.
