Meanwhile, villagers in a bid to stop police from entering put up barricades to prevent their entry. Despite of sanctions being imposed by on Idinthakarai village, the barriers have not stopped protestors will to fight for a cause.
While all the essential commodities have been blocked to the village by the police, protestors are entering the venue of protest via sea route. Essential commodities are being ferried through boats.
It was reported that villagers were going on despite of lack of electricity, water and even the supply of milk dried up. Mother's are fed their babies boiled water.
"For the last three days, there is no water or electricity. Milk either. Mothers are feeding babies just boiled water," said SP Udayakumar of the People's Movement Against Nuclear Energy (PMANE) earlier.
