Tamil Nadu:Sankarankoil by-poll results 2012, AIADMK leading

Jayalalithaa, who bruised Karunanidhi's reign in the state during the assembly election 2011, still has power to shatter the dreams of DMK, MDMK and DMDK.
While AIADMK is leading, other three political parties - DMK led by Karunanidhi, MDMK led by Vaiko and DMDK led by Vijayakanth got 20,348, 17,382 and 8,801 votes, respectively.
After boycotting the Apr 2011 polls following a breakdown in seat sharing arrangement with the ally AIADMK, this is the first time when MDMK had contested the elections.
However, citing the results of counting till 12:45 pm, it seems that Amma's magic indeed is working well on Tamilians.
