Govt schools breeding Naxals, says Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

Jaipur, Mar 21: Sri Sri Ravishankar, spiritual guru and the Art of Living founder lashed out at government schools, branding them breeding ground for the Naxals.

He held government run schools responsible for bringing out large number of rebels and advised the government not to run schools but rather hand over the responsibility to other system or institution.

"It's often seen that boys from government schools are into Naxalism and violence. Those from the private education system are not into these things. They move ahead with an ideal (adarsh) and teachers are responsible for it," he said.

The remarks of the spiritual guru comes following the abduction of Italian tourists in Odisha on Mar 14 by Maoists.
