Sri Sri Ravi Shankar effect, Pak Talibans to quit terrorism?

Islamabad, Mar 19: The spiritual guru Sri Sri Ravi Shankar expressed his desire to talk with the Talibans and to help those people who may leave the path of violence and terrorism. The founder of Art of Living (AoL) returned from his tour in Pakistan and said that he was ready to broker peace between the Pakistan government and Taliban.

Citing the statement of Sri Sri, speculations have been surfaced asking, will the spiritual guru be able to bring peace in the country or will he be able to pursue the terrorists to quit terrorism with the help of AoL sessions?

Sri Sri claimed that he "could feel the urge among the Pakistan masses to find peace and end violence." Sri Sri also added, "There is a lot of violence in Pakistan and people are fed up, they want to live peacefully. If I could be of any help in bringing an end to the vicious cycle of violence, I am ready to talk to the Taliban."

While discussing about his experience with people in Pakistan, Sri Sri has been quoted as saying, "We are all sufferers of stress, tension, violence and hatred - and small ways of easing out are all that you need."

Expressing his hope for the peace and terror-free world, Sri Sri also claimed, "I am sure that in times to come better sense would prevail on all who were involved in violence and that peace would prevail everywhere."
