Resignation fear:Pranab Mukherjee afraid of Mamata Banerjee?
Citing Mr Mukherjee's statement, it seems that he might be scared of West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress supremo, Mamata Banerjee who left Railway Minister Dinesh Trivedi to meet with a terrible experience after the Railway Budget 2012. Mamata protested against Trivedi's proposal of train ticket fare hike and demanded his resignation.
Mr Mukherjee on Sunday stated, ""... Knowing the mood of the persons who matters here (in Parliament), I had to be extra careful and I had to make my colleagues extra careful. Therefore, many of things which could have been done, rather should have been done, could not be done just at the time of the Budget."
"While fiscal consolidation will help create more space for private investment demand, improved financing and spending on infrastructure will help strengthen investment," added Mr Mukherjee.
