Karunanidhi
Chennai, Mar 18: The DMK has called for a high-level meeting on Mar 20 to discuss over the Lankan war crimes issue.

The Centre is already under heat from its ally that it extend its support to the US-sponsored resolution in the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) against Sri Lanka for alleged war crimes.

The meeting will be chaired by DMK supremo, M Karunanidhi, said K Anbazhagan DMK general secretary in a statement. The whole meeting will revolve around "India supporting the resolution on Sri Lankan army's war crimes against Eelam Tamils," he said.

Earlier the DMK said that it will consider it the 'betrayal of Tamils' if New Delhi supports Colombo. The DMK also threatened to pull out of the UPA over the issue if it failed to act in the interest of Tamils.
