Jaya Bachchan owns Rs 91 crore worth assets

Lucknow , Mar 18: Actor-turned-politician Jaya Bachchan, who has submitted the nomination papers for Rajya Sabha owns movable and immovable assets worth Rs 91.65 crore while her husband and Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan has fortunes to the tune of Rs 402.21 crore.

Jaya owns two vehicles, including Rs 30 lakh Toyota Lexus. Moreover, she has gold, jewellery, silver article and bars worth Rs 13.34 crore.

The Samajwadi Party senior leader Jaya has Rs 94,246 cash in hand and Rs 3.97 crore as deposits in banks besides investments to the tune of Rs 4.34 crore.

According to the affidavit filed by Jaya while submitting her nomination papers for the Rajya Sabha, Jaya has immovable assets in the form of Jalsa in Mumbai and two flats in Bhopal. Jaya also owns agricultural lands in Bhopal and Lucknow.

Jaya has shown an income of Rs 14.52 lakh in her income tax return in financial year 2010-11.
