Mamata wants Mukul Roy to be next Railway Minister
"Mukul Roy is our party's most trusted and old soldier. He will be the new railway minister. His term in the Rajya Sabha will be over in April and we have decided to re-elect him for the second consecutive term from West Bengal," Mamata said.
On Thursday, Mar 15, Mamata talked to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and is believed to have been assured on booting Trivedi's out from the position.
While talking to the Reporters, Mamata refused to comment on Trivedi's stand and Kalyan Banerjee's telephone call to him, she said to "ask Kalyan Banerjee who is the party chief whip in Lok Sabha." regarding Trivedi's ouster from his position.
In a letter to Manmohan Singh, Rail Union supported Dinesh Trivedi, asked the government for not allowing politicization of Indian Railways.
