Uttar Pradesh: Raja Bhaiya makes entry to Akhilesh cabinet

Sources said that, there are as many as eight criminal cases against Raja Bhaiya. The charges include attempt to murder, voluntarily causing grievous hurt, kidnapping or abducting in order to murder dacoity and illegal payments in connection with an election.
The induction of Raja Bhaiya in the UP cabinet has shocked everyone as Akhilesh has been trying to remove the Goondaraj tag from the Samajwadi Party.
Commenting on Raja Bhaiya induction in cabinet, 38-year-old Akhilesh, son of SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav said that the cases against Raja Bhaiya were politically motivated.
Moreover, Mr Bhaiya was arrested in 2002 on charges of kidnapping and was later jailed by the Mayawati government under the Prevention of Terrorism Act (POTA), charges were dropped the moment Mulayam Singh Yadav came to power in 2003.
