Gujarat: Schoolboy asked to clean toilet for coming late

Ahmedabad, Mar 15: In a shocking incident, a ten-year-old boy Raju Dhanjibhai Makwana studies in class three in Isanpur Municipal School number 2 in Ahmedabad was ordered by a lady teacher to go and wash the toilet, just because he was late to school for a few minutes.

The incident came to light when the victim parents approached the civic body and met leader of opposition Badruddin Shaikh seeking justice for their son.

According to victim claim, the angered teacher has ordered him to clean the dirty toilet of the school. While cleaning he slipped on the wet floor and his left eye hit the pointed corner of a rusted steel bucket.

Moreover, the boy has attended the school for the rest of the day with his bleeding eye. When he returned home, his parents rushed him to the hospital, where doctors said Raju has lost his eyesight.

Meanwhile, school authority has been investigating the matter and has promised to take action against the lady teacher, if found guilty.
