Narayanan, Nirupama under Maoist target

Kozhikode, Mar 6: In a shocking news to the whole nation, West Bengal Governor M K Narayanan and Ambassador to the US Nirupama Rao were found in the new target list of Maoists. The other two in the list were GK Pillai, former Union Home Secretary and Vijay Nambiar, former Deputy NSA.

The Maoists had sketched plans to kill the four in south India regional committee's meeting. It was held at Gadchiroli in Maharashtra on January 13 and 14, as reported by an IB source.

"These four are instrumental in unleashing violence against the Maoists in the name of Operation Green Hunt," a CPI (Maoist) source claimed.
