Digvijay Singh offers to quit Cong post-poll debacle in UP

New Delhi, Mar 6: Lamented by the poll debacle in Uttar Pradesh, the Congress General Secretary Digvijay Singh, owing to his moral responsibility has offered to quit the age-old national party.

Earlier, Digvijay Singh expressed the confidence of Congress finishing at a better place. However, on Tuesday's vote counting all their expectations met with a tragic defeat. This decision of candid Digvijay have understood to arrived after a meeting with the Congress top-brass.

Can the Congress party afford to lose a leader like Digvijay, that is the debating point. For now, it's the party's high command has to decide on the leaders offer.

Meanwhile, putting forward his generous face, Digvijay congratulated the victorious Samajwadi Party and asserted that the Centre would provide all the support to them. And he said that he hope that SP do not repat the same mistakes of BSP.
