No chance for BJP to form govt in UP, says Rajnath Singh

New Delhi, Mar 5: A day before counting of votes in the elections to five states including crucial Uttar Pradesh, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) senior leader and former President Rajnath Singh on Monday, Mar 4 said that his party may not be able to form a government in Uttar Pradesh.

"The results will be bright for the BJP, there is no doubt about it. We fought to get a majority. But candidly speaking, it appears we might fall short of the numbers required to form the government," said former UP Chief Minister Rajnath Singh. [Read more on UP assembly election 2012]

Meanwhile, counting of votes in the five states namely Goa, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Manipur and crucial Uttar Pradesh will be held on Mar 6 from morning 8 AM.

Moreover, most of exist polls have projected Bharatiya Janata Party in third spot after Samajwadi party and Bahajun Samaj Party (BSP).
