Militants explode bomb at Manipur poll candidate's house

Sources said the militants threw the bomb at around 10.30 pm yesterday at R K Anand's house at Naoriya Pakhang Lakpa area. Anand who is contesting from Naoriya Pakhang Lakpa assembly constituency and his family members were present in the house at the time of the incident.
The attackers fled under the cover of darkness, sources said. Meanwhile, coordination committee (CORCOM) of seven insurgent organisations has in a statement claimed that they were responsible for the attack at the house of Anand.
CORCOM members have been attacking Congress candidates and their supporters since the party was against the 'revolutionary movement' in Manipur.
