Bihar: Youth's hands cut off for not repaying debt of Rs 300

Patna, Mar 2: In a shocking incident in Bihar, a 20-year-old boy's hands were cut off after he failed to repay a debt of Rs 300, said reports.

The victim named Ram Sagar Chandravanshi, belonging to an extreme backward caste, was attacked by some powerful persons in Kodra village in Bihar's Arwal district following non-payment of debt.

The victim is undergoing treatment at the Patna Medical College Hospital. An FIR has been registered based on the victim's statement.

Reacting to the matter, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said that he will look into the case and take necessary action against the accused.
