Assam: Unidentified man's head found at Kamakhya temple

Guwahati, Mar 2: The Guwahati police on Friday, Mar 2 found an unidentified man's head in a plastic bag on a road leading to the famous Kamakhya temple.

Police said that it could be a case of human sacrifice as the plastic bag has a piece of paper that had religious hymns written on it.

Meanwhile, the police confirmed that the deceased is not a local and search is on to trace the body.

Police also suspect that the crime had been committed at some other place and then the head was brought to Kamakhya temple as there was no blood stain in the area.

Moreover, the police has not dismissed the case as human sacrifice as the Kamakhya shrine had a history of human sacrifice.
