New Delhi, Mar 1: A Delhi High court has accepted the application of American multinational corporation, Microsoft exempting it from the case filed against hosting of objectionable content on websites.

The fine of Rs 5000 was also imposed on Mufti Aijaz Qazmi, who had filed a civil suit in the court demanding that objectionable content be removed from 22 websites. Qasmi had also submitted a CD that contained a list of items he found objectionable.

According to Microsoft's counsel, there was no case against the company, as none of the websites produced in the court were hosted by Microsoft.

Meanwhile, Google on Thursday in the court, said that it removed objectionable contents from its website.
