Anna aide murder:Tainted BJP MLA was close to Shehla Masood?

Bhopal, Mar 1: Shehla Masood, RTI activist who was shot dead in Bhopal, was believed to be close with the suspected BJP MLA who might be arrested soon over the murder case.

The investigative agency, Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) claimed that they discovered that the tainted BJP MLA from Bhopal was very close with the deceased till she filed RTI applications against him (the BJP MLA) who reportedly was a head of the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation.

According to CBI sources, the same person was also close with Zahida Pervez, an interior designer by profession, who was recently arrested by the CBI.

Zahida Pervez along with two other persons was taken under police custody following a massive interrogation. Sources also informed that Pervez killed Shehla as she (Pervez) suspected her husband of having an extra marital affair with Shehla.

According to sources, Zahida allegedly hired contract killers and instructed them to kill Shehla as she (Zahida) suspected her husband of having an illicit relationship with Shehla. Zahida gave Rs 3 lakh to the hired hitman.

39-year-old Shehla, an RTI activist was a strong supporter of Anna Hazare and was an active member of India Against Corruption (IAC). Shehla was shot dead in Bhopal on Aug 16, 2011.

"I thank God. I have come to know through media reports. No one has officially told me about the arrest," said Shehla's father after citing the latest development in the case.
