Goa poll rally: Even LOUD speaker goes MUTE when PM speaks

Manmohan Singh
Panaji, Feb 29: It could be a mere co-incident or it can be termed as an irony when Prime Minister Manmohan Singh faced embarrassment as loud speaker system failed to be operated while the PM started his speech during Goa election campaign rally.

The PM, who has been facing stern criticism over his "inactions and inactiveness" in several incidents, was addressing a public gathering at Sanquelim, 40 kms from state capital Panaji on Wednesday, Feb 29.

According to sources, the loud speaker system failed when Manmohan Singh started introducing other leaders in the dais.

The system failure lasted for minimum 20 minutes and officials informed that it was a technical snag. However, the PM's embarrassment might have increased when thousands of people left the site of the election campaign rally, leaving Manmohan Singh and his entourage bewildered.
