Sohrabuddin encounter case: CBI likely to arrest top AP cops

Hyderabad, Feb 27: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is all set to arrest few Andhra Pradesh policemen in connection with the Sohrabuddin Sheikh fake encounter case.

The investigation agency is suspecting AP cops' alleged involvement in the kidnap of Sohrabuddin Sheikh and his wife Kausarbi from Hyderabad. Sohrabuddin and his wife were allegedly kidnapped by the Gujarat police while on their way in a bus from Hyderabad to Sangli in Nov 2005, and were killed in Ahmedabad.

The central investigation agency suspect that some AP cops had helped Gujarat police in kidnapping Sohrabuddin and his wife from Hyderabad.

Earlier, the investigation agency had summoned few top A.P. police officers for questioning in connection with the case.
