No one can stop Rahul to become PM at 12 tonight: Jaiswal

Sriprakash Jaiswal
Mathura, Feb 26: Union Coal Minister Sriprakash Jaiswal has again grabbed the headlines for his controversial statement on Saturday, Feb 25, that Rahul Gandhi could become Prime Minister even at midnight if he desires to do so.

While addressing a public rally in Mathura, Jaiswal said that "Rahul Gandhi can become prime minister at 12 tonight, he can administer the oath of office and no one can stop that. But neither does he want to become the prime minister nor the chief minister."

Expressing his willingness to become the chief Minister, Jaiswal assured the people of the state that he would provide "the best ministry Mathura ever had"

Few days back, Jaiswal created a flutter for his statement that there should be the imposition of President's rule in Uttar Pradesh.

A Primae Facia had been imposed by the election commission on Jaiswal's remarks. It has violated the model code of conduct and its a threat to the voters, a showcause notice also had been slapped by the poll panel on Jaiswal.

Meanwhile, Jaispal told the media that he would abide and duly respond to the Election Commission for his statement, "I have great respect for the Election Commission and would abide by its decision."
