Gujarat: Actress commits suicide in Surat

Gujarat, Feb 26: Dimple Hingu, Gujarati actress allegedly committed suicide by consuming poison, said police on Saturday.

The actress was 24-year-old.

"Dimple had yesterday evening left her house in Varachcha area and was later found near it in not so stable condition by someone known to her," they said.

"She was admitted to a private hospital where it was discovered that she had consumed poison," police said.

The motive behind what led the actress to take such step is not yet known, said police.

A case has been registered and the matter is being looked into.
