Fatal blow for Yeddyurappa; FIR filed against him

Bangalore, Feb 25: A day after receiving a snub from the BJP, former Karnataka CM

had to face legal music once again when the Lokayukta police filed an FIR against him in connection with the Housing Board allotment scam.

The FIR has also been filed against Yeddyurappa's daughter Aruna Devi in the case. Advocate Vinod Kumar dared to file the case against the father and daughter in a Shimoga court. Also under scanner is KHB officials.

Yeddyurappa has been slapped with a case of cheating and criminal conspiracy in the Karnataka Housing Board allotment case. According to reports in media channels, the FIR was filed under IPC sections 420, 120 (b) and Prevention of Corruption Act 13 (1) (d). [Read: Lokayukta court summons Yeddyurappa, his family members]

The Lokayukta court has instructed the police to file its report on the case by Mar 14.
